一九七五年度香港小姐競選 |

「一九七五年度香港小姐」於六月廿九日在利舞台誕生，參加決賽的十五位佳麗，都是在六月廿二日晚在TVB錄影廠舉行的準決賽中選出來的。
「香港小姐競選」一向採用提名競選的辦法，既可令全港市民都有機會或為提名人，參與此一有意義活動，亦可以令具備優秀條件的少女，有機會在親友的提名與鼓勵下參加競選。
過去兩屆的香港小姐都不負大家的期望，能夠在國際性選美會中揚名。
一九七三年度香港小姐季軍劉慧德，在亞洲小姐競選中榮獲亞軍，而且獲得友誼小姐及天才小姐榮銜。
一九七四年度香港小姐亞軍杜茱迪，參加在倫敦舉行的世界小姐競選，亦獲得性格小姐榮銜。
「香港小姐競選」己經為香港的選美活動奠定公正權威的基礎。「一九七五年度香港小姐競選」更加強已建立的傳統，相信每一位「香港小姐」都欣享一年的港姐榮權。

Sunday, 29th June, 1975, at the Lee Theatre, Miss Hong Kong 1975 was being chosen from among 15 glamorous finalists. The semi-finals of the Contest has taken place at the HK-TVB Studios, 22nd June.
Miss Hong Kong Pageant, which is organized by HK-TVB, aims at enhancing the image of Hong Kong abroad, through the selection of a young woman who is truly representative of the beauty and culture of Hong Kong. Entrants in the Pageant, over the past two years, have done well in contests overseas. Last year's first runner-up, Judy Dirkin, won the Miss Personality award at the Miss World Contest held in London. The second runner-up of the 1973 Pageant, Ethel Lau was placed second in the Miss Asia Quest, when she also won the Miss Friendship and Miss Talent awards.
The success of previous Pageants has laid a solid foundation on which to build the prestige of the current one. It seems that all is now set fair for every Miss Hong Kong to enjoy a happy and successful reign.
