一九八五年度香港小姐競選，在萬眾矚目中盛大舉行；今年「香港小姐競選」，是以「八五智慧」為主題。
智慧是與生俱來，它等待被引導和啟發，智慧是推崇真理，遠離驕傲，美德亘存不變，常令萬物長新。今年適逢聯合國國際青年年，我們以「八五智慧」作為回應，更新「港姐」的精神面貌。
具備「八五智慧」港姐們，在生活上是「積極參與」，在工作上是「促進發展」，在友愛及人際係是「共享和平」，獻上溫情洋溢的愛心，為香港社會增添健康良好風氣。
決賽於六月一日在利舞台舉利，七大司儀亦將首次攜手合作...

As Hong Kong celebrates the achievement of youth in the International Youth Year, the role of Miss Hong Kong 1985 is an especially significant one.
Beauty apart, the Miss Hong Kong 1985 will also possess the wisdom of '85.
Wisdom of '85 is participation, development and peace.
Through her active participation in the community and her contribution to society, Miss Hong Kong 1985 will become an exemplary model for the youth of Hong Kong.
By recognizing and developing her talents and skills to the fullest for the betterment of Hong Kong, Miss Hong Kong 1985 will be contributing to the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong.
Miss Hong Kong 1985 will also play an important role in promoting the image of Hong Kong overseas when she represents Hong Kong in international beauty pageants.
