一直以來，香港小姐競選乃城最矚目的選美盛事，而今年更是意義重大，皆因「一九九九年度香港小姐競選」是邁向2000年新紀元前最後的一屆，大會亦選取了「風華盡現，美得精彩2000年」作為今年的主題，參選佳麗均把握這個歷史性時刻，盡顯風華。
「一九九九年度香港小姐競選」於六月廿七日晚順利舉行，當晚以回顧過去，展望未來為主題...而決賽七月十一日晚在紅磡香港紅磡香港體育館舉行，大會以「重現利舞臺」為主題，把當年利舞臺瑰麗堂煌的演出盛況再次重現於全港觀眾眼前...

Ever since its launch, the Miss Hong Kong Pageant has remained the most talked-about beauty pageant in town. This year's event is the last Miss Hong Kong Pageant before the year 2000 and the theme for the pageant is "Beauty & Elegance, The Allure of 2000." The contestants are urged to capture this historical moment by displaying their grace and elegance.
The semi-final of Miss Hong Kong Pageant 1999 was successfully held on 27th June with the theme of "reminisce and speculate"... The final contest was staged on 11th July. Audiences were being brought back to a night of extravaganza with the grand setting of Lee Garden Theatre... |
