「香港小姐競選」 - 一個香港人所認同、最具代表性和最矚目的選美盛會。今年，香港小姐競選主題為「全情參與，香港人的選美」， 這正切合每一個香港人的心聲。
大會為使全港市民均可參與此盛事，故特設公眾投票環節。投票日期亦從去年的一天增至今年的五個星期。而決賽當日，更定名為「全情投票日」，市民踴躍參與選出心目中理想的香港小姐...
總決賽在六月廿三日晚上，假座紅磡香港體育館與行。藉此讓節目製作有全新意，在場地和佈景配合下，突破傳統的選美形式...

The Miss Hong Kong Pageant is an event that local citizen can identify with - the Territory's most established beauty pageant that draws the most attention. As such, the theme of this year's Pageant is "Getting Involved in the Beauty Pageant of the Hong Kong People".
The Project Committee, in an effort to encourage Hong Kong people to take part in this special event, has launched a public polling campaign. The polling period has been extended from one-day to 5 weeks this year. On the day of the final, June 23, it has been designated as the Pageant's "Polling Day".
