二○○○年 - 一個歷史性的年份，「二○○○年度香港小姐競選」乃香港廿一世紀首個選美盛會，全城矚目，更可謂千載難逢，能夠當選為千禧年香港小姐，代表香港前赴世界各地，推廣及宣揚香港旅遊及工商貿易，別具深遠意義。配合新紀元的開始，大會選取了「延續世紀傳奇，全賴有妳」為口號，意謂將港姐的親善精神，延續下去。
「二○○○年度香港小姐競選」準決賽於六月十八日利晚順利舉行，節目以嶄新的香港小姐網頁形式包裝...決賽則於七月九日晚在紅磡香港體育館舉行...

The year 2000 is a historical year. Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2000 is the first local beauty pageant of this century and is bound to be noticed. The three Misses Hong Kong 2000, the beauty queens of the new millennium, will represent Hong Kong as goodwill ambassadors to promote tourism and business in the Territory. The slogan selected by this year's Organising Committee is "Forging ahead into the new millennium - it depends on you!", which fully reflects the spirit of Miss Hong Kong.
The semi-final of the "Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2000" was successfully held on 18th June. The programme was based on the new TVB.COM website format...The final contest of the "Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2000" was staged at the Hong Kong Coliseum on 9th July. |
